Tina Branford

Terra Branford, known as Tina Branford in the Japanese version, is the brave and innocent 18 year old main character in the 6th Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy VI. Tina Branford (Terra Branford) from the iOS version of Final Fantasy VI In Final Fantasy VI, Terra is the daughter of an esper and a human, Maduin and Madeline, and was born with the gift of magic. At the beginning of of the game she is being controlled by the Gestahlian empire through the use of a slave crown.

It is only after conversing with an esper in a cave in Narshe and being rescued by the treasure hunter known as Locke Cole that Terra is released from the hold that the empire had on her. She is asked to be the bridge between the two worlds, human and esper, and to be the "the last ray of hope" by The Returners, a group of rebels who want to stop the empire from beginning another War of the Magi.

Terra Branford is voiced in the Dissidia games by Natalie Lander and Yukari Fukui in the US and Japanese versions, respectively.

Dissidia Final Fantasy

In Dissidia: Final Fantasy, Terra is the playable character representing Final Fantasy VI as a Warrior of Cosmos. She travels with Onion Knight (from Final Fantasy III) at the beginning of her scenario, but eventually travels with Cloud after he helps her when she goes out of control and changes into her esper form. She is eventually reunited with the Onion Knight and is successful in obtaining her crystal after defeating Kefka. Her crystal is in the shape of a piece of magicite that is red and black. The implication is that it is the magicite called Maduin, which is the name of her father, who was an esper, in Final Fantasy VI.

Dissidia Duodecim 012 Final Fantasy

In Dissidia Duodecim 012 Final Fantasy, which takes place before Dissidia Final Fantasy, Terra is initially on the side of Chaos, but it is against her will. Kefka is controlling her through the use of some sort of powerful spell, which is weakened later on in Vaan's scenario by an unlikely person. The whole spell thing to control her is very reminiscent of the beginning of Final Fantasy VI where the empire puts a slave crown on Terra to keep her compliant. And also, like in Final Fantasy VI, she is eventually freed from the bad guys clutches with the help of a thief *winks*.

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy

Terra is also a playable character in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy and it's sequel, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call. Both games are for the Nintendo 3DS system.
